School of Medicine

  1. Interdisciplinary Biomedical Graduate Program- Students in this interdepartmental program share a common first year core curriculum before entering specialized training in one of the PhD degree-granting programs:
  • Molecular Genetics & Developmental Biology
  • Cell Biology & Molecular Physiology
  • Cellular & Molecular Pathology
  • Microbiology & Immunology
  • Molecular Pharmacology
  1. Center for Neuroscience Graduate Program - The Center for Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh (CNUP) co-ordinates an interdepartmental campus-wide PhD program in Neurobiology/Neuroscience that is jointly administered through the School of Medicine and the School of Art & Sciences.
  2. Computational Biology (administered jointly with Carnegie Mellon University)
  3. Integrative Systems Biology
  4. Molecular Biophysics & Structural Biology
  5. Biomedical Informatics

Swanson School of Engineering

  1. Department of Bioengineering
